AC Refrigerant Gas Top-Up Service
Is your air conditioner running but not cooling as well as it used to? Low refrigerant gas is one of the most common causes of poor AC performance. Our gas top-up service restores your AC’s cooling capacity by replenishing the refrigerant to optimal levels.

FREE Gas Top-Up with Chemical Wash
Here’s a tip that can save you money: Our chemical wash service includes FREE gas top-up (up to 10kg) of any refrigerant type. Most competitors charge RM80-150 extra for gas, but we include it at no additional cost.
If your AC needs gas and hasn’t been chemically washed in 6+ months, the chemical wash is often the better value:
| Option | Price | Gas Included? |
|---|---|---|
| Standalone gas top-up | RM80-200 | Yes |
| Chemical wash | From RM160 | FREE (up to 10kg) + deep clean + warranty |
Types of Refrigerant We Supply
R22 (Freon)
- Used in older ACs (pre-2010)
- Being phased out due to environmental concerns
- Still available but increasingly expensive
- If your unit uses R22, consider upgrading to a newer model
R410A
- Standard refrigerant for most modern ACs
- More efficient than R22
- Environmentally friendlier (no ozone depletion)
- Most common refrigerant we work with
R32
- Newest refrigerant type
- Used in latest inverter ACs
- Most energy efficient
- Lowest environmental impact
- Growing in popularity
Signs Your AC Needs Gas
Your air conditioner may need a gas top-up if you notice:
- Reduced cooling - Room doesn’t get as cold, AC runs longer
- Ice on the evaporator coil - Visible frost or ice buildup
- Hissing sound - May indicate a gas leak
- Higher electricity bills - AC working harder to cool
- Warm air from vents - Despite being set to cool
Important: If your AC frequently needs gas top-ups (more than once a year), you likely have a refrigerant leak that should be repaired.
Our Gas Top-Up Process
Step 1: Inspection
Before adding gas, we:
- Check refrigerant pressure with manifold gauges
- Inspect for visible signs of leaks
- Assess overall system condition
Step 2: Leak Check
If gas is low, there may be a leak. We’ll check:
- Pipe connections and joints
- Evaporator coil
- Outdoor unit connections
- Recommend repair if leak is found
Step 3: Top-Up
If no leak is found (or after repair):
- Connect to service port
- Add refrigerant to proper pressure
- Monitor system operation
- Verify cooling improvement

Standalone Gas Top-Up Pricing
| Refrigerant Type | Estimated Price |
|---|---|
| R22 | RM100 - RM200 |
| R410A | RM80 - RM150 |
| R32 | RM80 - RM150 |
Actual price depends on amount needed. Severe depletion costs more.
Remember: Gas top-up is FREE (up to 10kg) with chemical wash - often the better value if your AC also needs cleaning.
Why Gas Levels Drop
In a properly sealed system, refrigerant shouldn’t need topping up for years. Common reasons for low gas include:
- Leak in the system - Needs professional repair
- Poor installation - Connections weren’t properly sealed
- Physical damage - Pipes or coils damaged
- Age and wear - Seals deteriorate over time
- Factory defect - Rare but possible
If you need frequent top-ups, we recommend finding and fixing the leak rather than repeatedly adding gas.
How to Maintain Optimal Gas Levels
- Get regular chemical washes (every 6-12 months)
- Don’t ignore signs of poor cooling
- Address leaks promptly when found
- Avoid physical damage to pipes and units
- Use a trusted service provider
